The most bohemian neighborhood in the capital of Minas Gerais breathes culture, musicality and became famous for its serenades and musical meetings.

Clube da Esquina, one of the greatest musical movements in MPB, began in Santa Tereza, in the 60s. Its members Márcio Borges, Lô Borges, Milton Nascimento, Beto Guedes, Fernando Brant, Marilton, among others, met to play and compose on the corner of Divinópolis and Paraisópolis streets, just 3 blocks from the Hostel.

Santa Tereza was also the birthplace of other famous bands, such as Sepultura and Skank. The singer and composer Telo Borges, who lived in the neighborhood for many years, said that “in all those corners, there is a lot of history to tell”. He's absolutely right. Come and discover our stories!
